Empowering women through Financial Literacy.

Speaking of Money exists to empower women of all ages with the financial knowledge, skill and tools required to manage and talk about money with confidence.

Inspired by the results of research revealing that women and young people in Australia not only have lower financial literacy than their male counterparts, but that this reality has become worse over time, our work is dedicated to redressing this preventable anomaly.

We know that the feeling of control that comes with financial knowledge and skill enables women to face the future with confidence, and we love seeing first-hand how affirming this is for each individual with whom we work.

We present to, and mentor with, senior secondary school students, groups of women interested in building their financial capabilities and women navigating significant changes in their adult lives – particularly at the point of separation or the death of a loved one - with the aim of building the capacity required to confidently approach their financial futures.

We are not Financial Advisers and do not offer advice in relation to Investment or Estate Planning matters. Rather, we offer workshops, one-on-one mentoring and presentations for women focussed on the money and finance matters relevant to their current life stage; importantly, we also provide the practical tools necessary to develop financial control - both for now and into the future.

Our approach is simple and tailored; our work is life changing. We’d love to hear from, and work with, you.

In-School Programs

Our In-School Programs are designed for senior secondary students in Years 10, 11 & 12. Teachers tell us they wish someone had told them this stuff when they were at school…

Financial Literacy is something women often don’t realise they need until a life-changing event occurs requiring them to assume financial control. We mentor women of all ages to build the practical knowledge and skills required to enable this to happen…

Mentoring
